Picture from Language in
Use Beginner Classroom Book by Adrian Doff and Christopher Jones.
First activity: Bingo
First of all, each person is going to have that picture but in black and white.
Now they have to choose four alliens from the nine, and they have to colour them in the same way that the real picture. When they finish, the teacher will start describing, randomly, each allien with its qualities, and the children has to match if the descrption coincide with some alliens they coloured before. The activity will finish when someone says BINGO!!, it will be because the teacher will have describe his four alliens.
Second activity: True or false
In pairs and one by one, they have to describe one allien. One of the partner has to describe it properly or not, and the other one, has to listen, look the picture and say if it is true or false. For example:
-In the picture we can see an allien listening music with headphones. FALSE
-In the picture we can see a purple allien which has two heads. TRUE
Third activity: Who is who?
In pairs, and each one with a picture in color, they have to choose one allien, and they can't say which is. Taking turns, they will have to ask questions with yes or no answers, in order to guess which is. The winner will be the first who guess the allien that the other had chosen. For example:
Does it have three eyes? (Yes, it does/No, it doesn't)
Does it have one head? (Yes, it does/No, it doesn't)
...
Does it have three eyes? (Yes, it does/No, it doesn't)
Does it have one head? (Yes, it does/No, it doesn't)
...
